Brian Strickland is a Georgia attorney, state senator, and Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, running for Georgia Attorney General. A lifelong Georgian, Brian lives in McDonough with his wife, Lindsay, and their two sons. They are active members of McDonough Presbyterian Church. In the Senate, Brian handles the state's laws on courts, crime, and criminal procedure. He wrote the law that fixed long delays in competency hearings, has been a leading voice for mental health reform, worked to stop foster children from being housed in state offices, and supported stronger laws against gangs, fentanyl, and human trafficking. An experienced attorney who grew up on a family farm in Henry County, Brian believes the law should protect people, apply the same to everyone, and hold wrongdoers accountable.
