Brian Strickland has spent his whole life in Henry County. He was born and raised there, still lives in McDonough, and his family's roots in the county go back generations. He graduated from Henry County High School and earned an economics degree from Valdosta State University before going on to law school and coming home to practice law, where he still practices in McDonough today.
He and his wife, Lindsay, are raising their two young sons in the same community where Brian grew up. That is not a talking point for him. It is the reason he does the work he does.

Henry County Roots
Born and raised in Henry County, where his family's roots go back generations. He still lives in McDonough and practices law there today.
State Legislator
First elected to the Georgia House in 2012 and to the state Senate in 2018, writing laws that solve real problems for Georgians.
Judiciary Chairman
As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Brian handles the state's laws on courts, crime, and criminal procedure.
Mental Health Reform
A leading voice for mental health reform who wrote the law fixing long delays in competency hearings that left people waiting in jail for months.
Families and Children
Worked to prevent hoteling in Georgia's foster care system.
